St Martin, say hello to another one of our sports ambassadors Morvin Beaupurthuy
Not only one of the island Hall of Famers but played international by Representing the old Netherlands Antilles and team France.
He also was invited to the Baltimore Orioles spring train in 1986
In 1987 Morven Beauperthuy was one of a couple of other locals that was named on the Nederlands Antilles baseball team that played in Indianapolis USA
Also apart of the locals that played in the Pan-American games
In 1986 apart of others being apart of the Netherlands Antilles to win the Silver Medal.
Beauperthuy in 1993 in the European championship 34 chances as a catcher errors free help to untainted the Bronze medal.
He also played in 1996 for Netherlands Antilles in the amateur world championship and 1987 in the Pan American games.
With France in 1993 Beauperthuy went .263/.359/.294 with scored 7 runs in 9 games while going 6 for 8 attemp stolen bases.
Also made local history with his sons Dimitri and Horacio being the only father , son with home runs in the same game.
